House A01
Vienna, Austria
Residential
2023
House A01 is a contemporary residence in Vienna characterized by its clear geometric form and restrained architectural language. The project explores the relationship between simplicity and spatial richness, creating a home that feels both minimal and expressive. The design prioritizes proportion, light, and material, resulting in a carefully balanced composition. Each element is considered in relation to the whole, ensuring a coherent and timeless architectural identity.

The concept is based on reduction, eliminating unnecessary elements to focus on essential spatial qualities. The house is organized through a series of interlocking volumes that define both interior and exterior spaces. Light is used as a primary design tool, shaping the perception of space and enhancing material expression. The architecture achieves complexity through simplicity.

The interior unfolds through a sequence of spaces that vary in scale and proportion, creating a dynamic yet controlled experience. Open areas are balanced with more intimate zones, allowing for different modes of living. Carefully positioned openings frame views and introduce natural light, enhancing the spatial atmosphere. Circulation is clear and intuitive.

The material palette is minimal and refined, combining smooth plaster surfaces, natural stone, and subtle metal elements. Detailing is precise, with a focus on clean junctions and continuity. Materials are used consistently throughout the project, reinforcing a sense of unity and calm. The restrained approach enhances the overall clarity of the design.
The building is designed with energy efficiency in mind, incorporating passive strategies such as orientation and insulation. High-quality materials ensure durability and longevity. The project integrates seamlessly into its urban context, contributing to the architectural continuity of its surroundings. House A01 represents a sustainable approach through simplicity and precision.
